About UsProfessional • Outcome-Based • Quality • Dedicated • Caring • Independent
AXIS Physiotherapy was founded by David Brentnall in 2000. As a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, he soon realised that having a better understanding of what people do at work (as well as their recreation and sport) and applying that knowledge to their rehabilitation, led to better outcomes for his patients. And so, AXIS REHABILITATION at work was born!
In 2003, Rosemary Grant joined David and, from a three person practice back then, AXIS now employs 30 staff and provides Physio and Occupational Health services throughout four states. Our unique service offering is to provide both quality physiotherapy and occupational rehabilitation, working with clients to deliver the best possible outcomes. AXIS is a signatory endorsing the Health Benefits of Good Work consensus statement produced by the Australian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
Our strength is our people. All Physiotherapists at AXIS are either APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists or Physiotherapists with a special interest in musculoskeletal health. Our team all have exceptional skills in the management of occupational injuries and are committed to providing service excellence. Our strong team approach and emphasis on communication and co-ordination allow us to deliver positive and sustainable benefits to the individual as well as the organisation.
Our head office is at 280 Adelaide St, Brisbane City and we have three satellite clinics within Brisbane (Mt Gravatt, Jindalee and Carseldine). We have on-site Physiotherapy clinics within organisations in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland and Christchurch.
We offer broad-based knowledge and experience in ergonomics, workplace rehabilitation, injury prevention strategies and all relevant workplace health and safety requirements.
“The leadership team includes myself, Rosemary Grant, Matthew Forner and Michael Tew.
However it’s the exceptional people – the entire team that work at AXIS – that we are most proud of”.
