To foster the Professional and Outcome-based AXIS principles, we encourage our staff in continuing education and professional development. One of our Melbourne-based physiotherapists, Michael Tew, completed his postgraduate studies in Occupational Health and Safety and was awarded the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland Award for Academic Excellence.
AXIS is so proud of your achievement and commend your commitment to excellence in everything you do, congratulations Michael! We look forward to you sharing your knowledge with the rest of the team and promise to read every word of your emails! They are a reflection of your work and study ethic… comprehensive!
Although the awards were held in February, we have only recently received photographic evidence of the Awards’ Night which was attended by three members of the AXIS leadership team. See below L-R: Matthew Forster, Matthew Forner, Michael Tew and David Brentnall.
Michael completed a Graduate Diploma of OHS through Queensland University of Technology over two years part time, a mean feat whilst working full time with AXIS. The course covered topics such as Ergonomics, Risk Assessment, OHS Law and OHS Policy
