Axis is very proud to announce that Roxanne Azoory has had her research work published in the Physical Therapy – the Journal for the American Physical Therapy Association.

Roxy and her team from the University of Sydney investigated the correlation of clinical and quantitative pain sensitivity in people with chronic neck pain.  Pain sensitivity is difficult to measure however it is an important clinical marker for prognosis and can guide physiotherapy treatment when better understood.

The finding’s from the paper – Clinical Ratings of Pain Sensitivity Correlate With Quantitative Measures in People With Chronic Neck Pain and Healthy Controls: Cross-Sectional Study – provides specific guidance for clinicians and allows more accurate identification of patients with pain sensitivity, therefore optimising their treatment and outcomes.

Congratulations Roxy!
