Physiotherapy

Our highly qualified staff provide unparalleled care in the areas of prevention, treatment and management of injury and recovery.

Relief, Rehabilitation, Prevention

All AXIS Physiotherapists based in the Brisbane CBD are either APA Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists, or Physiotherapists with a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries. Our particular expertise is in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all muscle and joint problems, especially back and neck pain. We have advanced qualifications, specialised knowledge and clinical experience, to employ a wide range of therapies to reduce pain, restore proper movement and prevent further problems.

Should we feel a condition requires specialist expertise other than our own then we will work in close conjunction with other health professionals that we have established close links with. We also have available at our Brisbane city clinic a Massage Therapist and Psychologists.

A doctor’s referral to a Physiotherapist is not required unless you are claiming under WorkCover QLD, Department of Veterans Affairs or under CTP (Compulsory Third Party) Insurance. To book an appointment under these schemes please call us on 07 3229 9441 so we can organise everything behind the scenes for you, prior to your first appointment.

Treatment from AXIS Physiotherapy Brisbane City is covered by private health insurance and we can make a claim at the time of treatment through the HICAPS network. You can book an appointment online or call us on 07 3229 9441.

Cailen is an enthusiastic Physio, who loves to help people on their return to sport or work. Since graduating she has gained experience in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, focussing on musculoskeletal and sports injuries, and occupational health.

As a clinician, Cailen prefers to treat her clients as a whole person, rather than looking only at their injury. In your first session with Cailen, you might find that she assesses multiple areas around the injury to make sure the root cause of the pain is found. She believes that treating the injury will help in the short term, but digging a little deeper is the key to preventing the injury or pain from returning. Cailen uses a combination of manual therapy and exercise to make sure that her clients get effective results.

Cailen has experience working with a range of diagnoses, and with clients of all ages. She treats both acute and chronic injuries, and loves working with her clients to achieve their goals. In her spare time, Cailen loves playing hockey, running and mountain biking, so she has a particular interest in working with athletes in similar sports. Cailen uses her knowledge of movement and biomechanics to help assist running-based athletes through rehabilitation of injuries, and improving efficiency and speed.
